そんな苦渋の北海道生活に差し込んだ、ささやかな光が平成28年の電力自由化でした。
トドック電力や北海道ガス、auやソフトバンクなどさまざまな新規電力会社が北海道にも上陸し、ほくでんよりもずっと安い料金をアピールしています。
我が家も北海道ガスの電気にさっそく切り替えてもうすぐ一年。
同じように当ブログをお読みの皆さま(=情報意識の高い方)はすでにエネチェンジされていることと思います。
こうした北海道民のささやかな抵抗でほくでんは契約流出が続いているそうです。
困り果てた北海道電力は2月1日から料金値下げの新メニューを発表しました。

毎月の電気料金を口座振替かクレジットカードで支払い、Webで料金案内をもらうように設定するだけで毎月300円値引きしてくれるのです。
手続きは簡単です。
下記の①と②を満たすことが条件です。
①「Web料金お知らせサービス」へ登録
②電気料金のお支払い方法をいずれかに指定
銀行口座からの自動引落し（口座振替）または
クレジットカード払い
たったのこれだけです。
どうしても料金を請求書で払いたい方は別です。
でも毎月の電気料金をクレジットカードで払ってANAのマイルを貯めているよう私のような人なら、いますぐ手続きしたほうが良いです。
請求書の葉書が来なくなりますが、どうせ捨てるだけなので300円値引きしてもらったほうがお得です。
オール電化向けや大家族のご家庭向けの「エネとくLプラン」「eタイム3プラス」という新商品も始まったみたいですよ。

北ガス電気のポイントサービスってどうなった?
我が家は一年前に北ガス電気に切り替えています。
「独自のポイントサービスでさらにオトク」というセールストークに釣られて加入したのです。
でもその後も一向にポイントサービスが始まる様子がありません。
ファイターズのチケットが当たるとか言っていたけど、どうなったのだろう？
北ガスのホームページにも「予定です」と表示したまま、もうすぐ一年。
これはマズイんじゃないですか、北ガスさん！
看板に偽りありですよ。
まあ、ANAマイルとかYahoo!ポイントが貯まるなら別ですが、「独自のポイントサービス」なら貯まっても使いみちが限られますね。
あってもなくても同じなら、もう北ガス電気はいいや。
料金も思ったほど安くないし。
さて解約っと・・・。

ほくでんの社員(友人)から聞いたのですが、本当に経営がやばいらしいです。
料金値上げの結果、みんな節電志向で電気消費量が減っているので、値上げしたにもかかわらず売上が減っているそうです。
仕方なくさらに値上げすると一層売上が減る、負のスパイラル。
残業代は付かないうえに、夕方以降は節電のために事務所の暖房を止められてしまうのだとか。
近所の人にも「ほくでんに勤めている」とは言えず肩身が狭い模様。
かつては超一流会社だったはずなのに・・・。
「ザマミロ」と思うか、「可哀想」と思うかは人それぞれですが、わたし的には落ち目の北海道電力を応援してみたい気持ちになってきました。
